After celebrating its 80th year in the women’s apparel industry as a family-owned company – led now by the fourth generation – JMJ Fashions continues to grow and evolve within the North American marketplace.

J|M|J Fashions Inc. was founded in 1933 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as the Sterling Cloak Co. Ltd. From 1933 until 1978 Sterling Cloak produced ladies outerwear and sportswear, then merged with S. Stall and Sons to form the Sterling Stall group. This partnership produced a wide range of ladies' clothing, including outerwear, leather, down coats, suits and sportswear. After some changes in the early 90’s, one partner remained with the sportswear division – J|M|J Fashions – which still fully operates out of its Winnipeg-based facility.

Originally a manufacturer of private-label programs for Canadian retailers, in 1995 JMJ Fashions introduced the INGENUITY line of washable, crease resistant women's tailored sportswear. Built around a synthetic micro-fiber base fabric, all garments with the INGENUITY label are constructed to be guaranteed machine washable and dryable.

Today J|M|J Fashions enjoys tremendous success in it’s design, marketing, and manufacture of INGENUITY, and is carried by retailers across Canada and the United States.
